Merdeka Weekend

Prior to the Merdeka, on Merdeka eve, we had our netball finals.. meaning during the semi finals on Tuesday, WE WON! Our score was 17-5.. So as we watch the second game to see who was gonna be with us during the finals, we felt confident of winning.. We felt, the gold medal was in out bag.. WE FELT.. damn, on the day of the finals (30/08/07), It was a nail biting final.. so much of pressure and this time, we had to play 4 Quarters, one quarter 10 minutes.. and we played the worse during the last quarter, i was missing most of my shots due to fatigue and the opponents manage to catch up.. and went the score was 17-16, the final whistle blew and we won! so we are the champions! The feeling was so great,, most of us cried ( I teared, a little bit).. then we received a a bouquet, of chocolates… 3 Ferrero Roche and a cute, tiny little teddy bear (the one in the sweater)! And then our coach presented us with another cute teddy bear (the larger one)! The company also presented us with companys’ face towels and caps. Then, the Chairman for the games took us out for dinner, at Souled Out, Hartamas.. I ate like a pig.. For the last 2 months i had been on a strict diet so that i would be fit and the weight gain will be minimised so that day, I just ate.. Had Charred Chicken and Half of Salmon Fish, for dessert I had Lava and my drink was Fruit Punch.. Eevrything was so so good.. I was so full.. SOuled Out was packed with ppl.. NST came to us and took pictures coz we were also celebrating Merdeka.. We waved the Malaysian flag.. As we left Souled Out, Me and my bf (he was with me thru out and was there to support me while i play,, thanks honey) had intentions of watching the fireworks.. But i was dead tired, it was as though i let out all my energy for the finals.. I was yawning all the way so he had to drop me home.. He watched the fireworks alone.

As I find my room a bit too clustered, i decided to do some changes.. i manages to persuade Dad to give me a shelf (dad shares his things in my wardrobe) for me to put my bags and he agreed! So i cleared it all up on Friday.. Thats all i did.. Oh, i watched a lot of tv too with my Sis-in-law who came over for a whole day with my bro (not on talking terms, its not my fault).

So came Saturday, another partial lazy day.. My day only began at around 3pm when i started to get ready to go out to do shopping for stuff for my room.. so me and my bf, headed to Low Yatt and bought this really cool speakers (Altec Lansing VS 4121) with a subwoofer.. IT SOUNDS REALLY LOUD AND COOL! The subwoofer is 19watts while the speakers are 6 watts each.. Just nice, as i dont plan to bring the house down… and it cost me RM 220.. then i also bought a small plastic cupboard with 3 drawers to fit in my wardrobe to keep my lingerie and socks.. and bought hangers to hang more clothes.. so i cleaned my room till 3 am and then slept.. fixed my speakers in order and tested, and was very satisfied.. worth every cent.

Sunday, woke up and landed my butt in front of the TV.. saw this movie Lean On Me, Morgan Freeman was the actor.. very nice story.. Then i accompanied dad to town, and he did what he needed to do and then took me to college to register for my classes and i discovered the class started yesterday.. i missed to classes.. damn it.. should have called the college earlier and find out.. so i will be having classes every Tuesday and Friday nights.. I will be taking only one paper, slow down a little.. then i wanted to borrow some dvds from my bf, and since he had some stuff in Hilton KL so we met at KL Sentral.. Dad dropped me off, and told me he will be back in 30mins.. I felt like a 14 yr old going on a date! was cute in a way.. Dad went on to have his thosai, while i dated at Starbucks.. haha..

Few things:

• My sis in law is pregnant, about 7 months.. its a boy.. Even though the devil is still inside, he knows exactly who is who and what is going on outside? few examples is like when my bro calls him, he moves in her tummy and when some1 else does it, he doesn’t bother.. then my little nephew is hyper at night (Just like his dad), so when it is time to sleep thats when he moves about.. So every night, my bro will tell him, ‘Ok, enough now.. Let mummy sleep and you don’t move ok?’ and guess what, he does not move after that! He listens and most importantly he understands! and when my sis in law carries her frens baby, my nephew gives a very hard kick that the baby cries! Is that jealousy or what?! The baby sees the world thru his mum and is very attached.. so since my sis in law luvs my bro a lot, so does the child.. and affection for another child, is definitely not approved my this kiddo who is still in the womb! Amazing, gods creation..

• I managed to get the job that i was eyeing in a different department so tomorrow i tender my resignation, with one month’s notice and i join them in October.. I planned top join them on the 8th of October instead of 3rd (tentatively) as my dad migrates to NZ on the 5th and i may not see him in a very very long time.. must call the HR and ask them if its possible.. Keeping my fingers crossed.. i am amazed that i got the job fast, but i have to give credit to my sports background.. the director that interviewed me during my second interview on Wednesday (29/08/07) was also there to watch me play during the final.. Nerve wracking as i had to perform.. They called and offered me the job on the 30/08/07.. Amazing day it had been..

• As i going home with dad after our town adventure, i saw a Malaysian flag one the road.. Its sad to see it being treated that way.. Its like as thought patriotism is only shown for our Independence Day (31/08/07) and then it dies and respect for the flag is forgotten.. sad sigh….
