Freaks & Geeks

I saw an episode of Fear Factor on AXN on Monday, titled Freaks vs Geeks. 4 couples, 2 couples of freaks and 2 couples of geeks. Freaks because they were filled with tattoos and piercings (one of the female had her tongue split), weird hair do and colour, and ya, implants (not the usual kind). Geeks were like, thick glasses, makeup-less,  out of shape body and buttoned clothes..

Fear factor, all this while has been displaying guys with perfect physique and gals with huge implants and flat tummies, u know the ‘perfect’ physique.. makes ppl drool and feel ugly about themselves.. They portray, these ppl as ‘normal’.. Look around us, how many have six packs? and big boobs? And you call this ppl normal?

Whats so freaky about ppl with piercings and tattoos? They are human after all, and its their choice how they wanna decorate themselves. Its their freedom but just because they don’t think or behave like you, doesn’t make them freaks. Same goes for the geeks. So what if they spend most of their time in front of the computer and reading? is it bad? Ppl have fun the way they think is like and brings them happiness.. Like me, i prefer sitting at home surfing the net and watching downloaded movies/series.. So i don’t drink or go clubbing, am i a geek? or a freak to some?

But why do we judge ppl, for the way they are? They are happy with themselves, why do we seclude them? We are after all human. As i watched the Fear Factor, the freaks n geeks were not the bitching, degrading, show offs kind of attitude that we have seen so far on the show, but instead they were quite silent.. the geeks was analyzing everything and using science to help them win while the freaks just played the game with confidence. Victory belonged to the geeks, who used ‘deceptive strides’ to win :P Kinda cute.. one of the geek participants was in triathlon.. Not bad eh?

Human are judgmental animal… Live with it, we are judging everyone, every moment… But it’s different to see AXN have this episode :?

It’s not fair.. we shouldn’t do that.. We come from the same creator so why are we different? Sheesh…
Joe Rogan was so excited, it was as though it was the first time he learned the word freak..
The implants that the ‘freaks’ had was scary, like a metal thing in their hands.. shaped like a ear..

Hey…so I randomly found your post from a link as I searched for the “Freaks and Geeks” episode. My friend Aubrey was on the first eliminated team, and she’s no geek! She was acting(she was in the movie “The Island” with Scarlett Johannson), and she is fit, beautiful inside and out, and naturally blonde…and a very wonderful person! She doesn’t even wear glasses! It’s just interesting to me what the show’s producers choose to believe, and what is purely for ratings.
